What makes a facial from Drift Away different?

Some of you have expressed that until chatting to me, you hadn't considered having a facial, as you felt they were too 'pampery' and you were always in need of a massage and you felt they were an indulgence rather than something you needed.  What i want to do is inform you better so you can see why having a facial in general is great for you and your skin and tension as well as why it is worth having a facial from Drift Away.

Why have a facial?

Facials aren't just about pampering you and making you feel special.  The clay masks used in the treatment provide nourishment to the skin which leaves your skin looking and feeling great.

Facials help with circulation which in turns helps with those wrinkles, not to mention helping to break down tension held in the face, jaw and temples.  So much tension is held in the jaw and head that can cause neck tension too, facials can help to alleviate this tension.

Facials also help with sinus drainage, great for any of you who are sinus sufferers, especially as some of the key sinus areas are where we also hold tension and once again, through the facial massage, attention is placed on these areas to reduce the stress held in the muscles and to relieve the sinuses.  Both through massaging the face and scalp, this can help alleviate that tension in the head and scalp which can be a big contributor of headaches.

So as you can see, although a facial can be a pampering treatment, a bit of tlc for the facial skin and to 'make you look good', there are also other physical remedial benefits with the reduction of tension in the head, scalp, neck and face.  So a facial is more than an indulgence.

What makes Drift Away's facials any different?

Having discussed this with some of you, one of the things that came up was the fact that when a mask is setting, your left alone for up to fifteen minutes when you felt that this time could be used better.  At Drift Away i have listened to this and so once i have applied all the beautiful Elemis range to your skin and applied the face mask which is tailor made to your skin, i will be using my massage skills to provide you with a lovely massage treatment whilst the mask is setting.

You can choose between a massage to the shoulders, neck and scalp to help relieve key tension in these areas and aid relaxation, or a soothing hand or foot massage to get rid of any aches and pains in these areas.  The combined shoulder/neck/scalp massage aims to break down the knots and ease the tension held in the scalp and neck, so you not only feel pampered but that your having a holistic and soothing massage that increase mobility and flexibility in the muscles.  A facial at Drift Away goes above and beyond pampering and tailors the treatment so that you are getting a whole approach from the products used to improve the skin, to getting rid of aches and pains in muscles and to reduce tension in the scalp.

 

The facial massage by Drift Away focuses upon improving circulation to the skin to help it look great and to help reduce wrinkles and give a radiant look, but also to work on tension held in the jaw which so many of us have! Also to work on sinus drainage to help with sinus problems and to relieve puffiness around the eyes.  It aims to work on reducing tension held in the face, around the temples and in the scalp which can help to reduce headaches, due to the knowledge gained from previous massage courses.

So all in all, a facial from Drift Away is a very unique experience;-)

This includes a wonderfully relaxing cleansing and toning routine using Elimis or Loreal products. Then a clay face mask is applied which is tailor made for your skin type.

Whilst the face mask is taking effect, either a shoulder/neck and head massage or hand or foot massage can be experienced, depending on your preference. Once the mask is removed and beautiful skin revealed, an express massage will be carried out on the face to continue stimulating the circulation and give your skin that wonderful glow.

60 min full facial with head massage £37.50
A beautiful facial designed to both provide pampering and relieving of any facial tension, to help stimulate facial skin and to give you a glowing complexion whilst easing tension often held in the head.

A thorough cleanse and tone of the skin is carried out to remove any impurities using elimis or loreal products. Whilst an elemis facial scrub is applied so that the healthy skin underneath can come through and be pampered and soothed.

Then a tailor made clay face mask is applied to your skin to provide nourishment and moisurising to the skin, dependent on your skin needs. Whilst the face mask is taking effect, either a shoulder/neck and head massage or hand or foot massage can be experienced, depending on your preference.

The face mask is gently removed to show healthy glowing skin and a relaxing and easing face massage is carried out on the face. The face massage focuses upon pressure points, working on and around the sinuses, helping to ease up headaches and relieve tension held in the jaw and head, whilst encouraging blood flow, healthy skin and a lovely glowing complexion with smooth skin. Then a shoulder neck and head massage is given to finish off this relaxing, indulgent yet beneficial treatment.

60min back and express facial £37.50

This combines a twenty minutes back massage to ease up any knots and areas of tension whilst providing an express facial including clay facial mask to provide relaxation yet healthy skin and a freer back.

90 min back and full facial £52.50

This treatment combines a thirty minute back massage so that areas of tension can be worked on and knots eased up and the back feels freer. Along with a full facial which enables the release of tension held in the head, jaw and neck whilst providing a pampering, soothing and smoothing facial to rejuvinate the skin and give a healthy complexion.

2 hours luxury treatment £62.50
-Includes one hour massage

An indulgent treatment that whilst being pampering, also helps to free up those tight muscles, increase mobility and ease up any aching areas. It's a wonderful way to free up muscles whilst relaxing at the end with a sixty minute full facial so that you can feel worked upon yet increasing that pampering and chilled out feeling, helping the body to totally relax. After this top to toe treatment, your likely to not only feel, but look good from head to toe!

Changes, changes!

Hope your all having a wonderful start to the weekend. Here at Drift Away, I am always trying to keep business open and honest and with the intention of providing you with the best treatment possible.

With all that in mind, i wanted to inform you all that prices for treatments will rise by £2.50 as of 1st April, helping to cover some of those petrol costs and my continuous training so i can bring you all those lovely treatments. This is the first increase since setting up in 2008, so wanted to let you all know as the prices don't often change!

This gives you all plenty of time to get used to the small increase and any gift vouchers bought before the 1st April will be honoured at their current prices.

1st April is also another important date, as it will be the introduction of the facials that so many of you are asking about! The chance for beautiful skin;-)

After having done several practices since my facial course, holistic facials including natural clay masks, will soon be offered at Drift Away, so that you can enjoy a facial and relax afterwards in your own home.

Also coming soon are a range of relaxation bags you can buy to give to a loved one or solve the quandary over what to get a friend for their birthday. They contain wonderfully relaxing products to help soothe away aches and pains and increase relaxation. More details to follow soon!
